FAQ

Is there anything to solve in chapter 2?
What happens in chapter 2?
Chapter 2 is a transition. Dr. Coffey works in the Conservatory Building to the east, and the game’s own room descriptions keep pointing you toward it. There is nothing to solve, no one to fight and nothing to pick up. The value of this page is the exact route.
What is the route from the bookstore to the library?
Start at the front of your store and type each direction as its own command.

What landmarks do I pass?
The Washington Monument sits in the middle of the district: a tall column topped with a statue of George Washington, surrounded by a traffic roundabout. It is the landmark you will use for the rest of the game to find your bearings. You can see it and the other streets on the district map.
The Conservatory Building is the flagship library of the Peabody Institute. You enter it through the door on its south side. The George Peabody Library page describes its rooms.
What comes next?
You are now in the library lobby. Chapter 3 covers Dr. Coffey’s office, the basement and the briefcase.
